Marshmallow Jell-O Fluff
Marshmallow Jell-O Fluff is a no-bake, super easy, refreshing treat that’s perfect on a hot day. It’s also a great make-ahead dessert; mix it up in the morning and it’s ready that night. The sweet pineapple and mandarin oranges combined with the orange Jell-O is just delicious, then add mini marshmallows. Wow…so good.
This is the kind of dessert you make when you want something cool and refreshing, but don’t want to spend much time in the kitchen making it.
Making Marshmallow Jell-O Fluff
Start by draining the pineapple and mandarin oranges, and you really want to drain them well.
For instance, while draining, press on the pineapple with the back of a spoon to squeeze out more juice, and the same with the oranges.
Meanwhile, mix the whipped topping and Jell-O gelatin together.
When well mixed, you’ll still see the Jell-O granules, but that’s ok; so long as there are no clumps.
Next, fold in the pineapple, mandarin oranges, and mini marshmallows into the whipped topping mixture.
Now, there’s nothing to say you can’t eat a little now, but the gelatin hasn’t had time to set up.
To remedy this, into the fridge it goes, and for at least 4 hours. Overnight is best, but sometimes we can’t wait.
Substitutes, alternatives, this and that…
If you have everything except the orange flavored Jell-O, you can use a different flavor.
For example, cherry or lime would be great here.
Also, fresh out of mandarin oranges? No problem, use a can of fruit cocktail from your pantry.
Want a little crunch? Throw in some pecans or walnuts.
This recipe is a great basic recipe that you can expand on based on your favorite flavors.
In other words, have fun with it.
