Apple Spice Butter Recipe
With only 4 ingredients, turn your ordinary butter into something special. The honey and powdered sugar give way to the perfect blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice berries. Spread Apple Spice Butter on your morning toast, muffins, waffles, French Toast, or dinner rolls. How about a pat in your oatmeal? Yummy!
You’ll love how easy it is to make, and it has only 4 ingredients. Awesome, right? Most people have heard of cinnamon butter, especially if you eat out often. This is similar, only here we’re using Apple Pie Spice, which is a blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ground up allspice berries. Delicious and a great compliment to anything you spread it on.
Let’s do this…
Starting with your butter, bring to room temperature either salted or unsalted butter. It’s really just a preference, I use the salted.
Just mix the honey into the butter, then add in the Apple Pie Spice and powdered sugar. If you’re using an electric mixer, let the butter get light and fluffy. Check out the cool the little dark specks from the Apple Pie Spice.
Here’s where I like to pipe the Apple Spice Butter into a jar, if for no other reason than to make it look pretty. In fact, here’s a great gift idea…double or triple the recipe and put the butter in some cute little jars with a ribbon. Don’t give them all away, though, save one for yourself.
If you love Apple Pie Spice, you might love these Apple Spice Muffins shown above. I made the muffins and the butter at the same time…I had the Apple Pie Spice out and figured I might as well. They didn’t last long, but luckily there was enough butter left for dinner rolls and French Toast the next morning.
Apple Spice Butter
- 1/2 cup butter, room temperature (salted or unsalted)
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 1 tsp. Apple Pie Spice
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- In a small bowl, mix the honey into the butter. Add the Apple Pie Spice and powdered sugar until thoroughly blended.
- Let sit for 2 hours in air-tight container either on the counter or in the refrigerator allowing the flavors to blend together.
- Store and serve as you would any butter. Enjoy!
