Creamy Sausage Dip

Melted cream cheese mixed with cooked sausage, sour cream, diced tomatoes, and black beans.

Materials

  • 1/2 lb. Jimmy Dean sausage (hot or regular)
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, cut into cubes to melt faster
  • 1 can (10 oz.) Rotel diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup black beans, rinsed
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp. crushed red peppers (optional)

Instructions

  • In a large saute pan, cook sausage. Chop and break up sausage as it cooks.
  • Add cream cheese to pan. Stir often. Once melted, add Rotel, black beans, and sour cream. Bring to low simmer, then remove from heat.
  • Add crushed red peppers optionally for extra heat.
  • Serve warm. Enjoy!

Notes

Serve with tortilla chips, potato chips, pita/bagel chips, crusty bread, vegetables, toasted baguette slices, pretzel sticks, or garlic toast.
For parties, keep warm in a small crock pot.
Refrigerate any leftovers.
