- 1 yellow cake mix
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- 3 cups miniature marshmallows
- 2 cups salted peanuts
- 2 cups Rice Krispies
- 12 oz. bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 13 x 9 baking pan.
Mix cake, 1/4 cup melted butter, and egg. Press into greased pan. Bake 10 - 12 minutes. Remove from oven.
Place marshmallows over cake and return to oven for approx. 3 minutes until marshmallows puff up.
In medium bowl, mix peanuts and Rice Krispies.
Melt baking chips with corn syrup and 1/2 cup butter. Add vanilla. Pour over nuts and Rice Krispies and stir. Spread over marshmallows.
Cool. Cut into bars when set. Keeps well in container in refrigerator or freezer. Don't refrigerate before cutting into bars, gets too stiff.
