Asiago Banana Bread Bites

Materials

  • 12 1 1/2 to 2" rounds cut from thinly sliced banana bread
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 12 tsp. Asiago cheese, shredded or thin slices
  • 12 toasted pecan halves

Instructions

  • Using a cookie cutter, cut 12 rounds from thinly sliced banana bread.
  • Melt butter in skillet. Lightly brown both sides of rounds in melted butter.
  • Top each round with 1 teaspoon cheese and 1 toasted pecan half.
  • Microwave for approx. 10 seconds to melt cheese. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

To toast pecans, place in skillet for approx. 5 minutes, stirring often. No oil or butter is needed. The heat brings out the flavor.
