Crust and Crumble:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3 cups quick oats, uncooked
Chocolate Layer:
- 12 oz. bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 cup nuts, chopped (like walnuts, pecans, or peanuts)
Crust and Crumble:
Cream butter and brown sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix flour, salt, baking soda together and add alternately with oats to batter. Mix thoroughly.
Set aside 1/3 of batter for crumble topping. Press other 2/3 of batter into bottom of baking dish.
Chocolate Layer:
In medium sauce pan, melt chocolate with condensed milk, butter, vanilla and salt over medium heat. Stir constantly to avoid scorching. Once all the chocolate is melted, pour over crust in baking dish.
Sprinkle nuts over chocolate layer.
Crumble reserved batter evenly over nuts. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy!
