For the cupcakes:
- 1 box white cake mix, (like Pillsbury Moist Supreme)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 1/4 cup water
- 4 egg whites
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup Hershey's cocoa
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips, semi-sweet
For the frosting:
- 1 container chocolate frosting
- 1 container vanilla frosting
For the cupcakes:
In a large bowl, mix white cake mix with oil, water, and egg whites per box directions. Add the extracts and mix thoroughly.
Pour half the batter into a second bowl. To one bowl, mix in the cocoa and chips.
Spoon the chocolate batter in the liners first, then spoon the vanilla on top of the chocolate.
Bake per directions on box.
