Materials

  • 10.5 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
  • 10.5 oz. can French onion soup
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire
  • 6 oz. cream cheese, cubed
  • 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 lbs. skinless/boneless chicken breasts
  • Optional: fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Add the cream of mushroom soup, French onion soup, Worcestershire sauce, cubed cream cheese, and sliced mushrooms to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, paprika, and black pepper. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with the spice mixture and place them into the slow cooker. Turn the chicken over once so it's evenly coated in the soup mixture.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours, or until the chicken is tender and easily shreds. Chicken is cooked with an internal temperature of 165°.
  • Remove the lid and shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks. Stir everything together until the chicken is coated in the creamy sauce. Optional: serve with fresh chopped parsley. Enjoy!

Notes

Sauce will thicken if you leave the lid off for 15-20 minutes, and it will definitely thicken if you have leftovers in the refrigerator.
If serving over pasta, you can first add 1-2 cups shredded cheese on top, re-cover until cheese is melted, then serve. Delicious!
