Ultimate Sangria Brownies

- 2 1/3 cup red wine, divided
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 2 Tbsp. orange zest, finely grated
- 19 oz. box Ghirardelli brownie mix (triple chocolate or ultimate chocolate)
- 1 cup chocolate frosting or ganache
- 8 oz. frozen whipped topping, thawed (or homemade whipped cream)
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1 cup fresh blackberries or blueberries
Preheat oven to 325° and line 18 muffin cups with paper liners.
In medium bowl, mix together 1/3 cup wine, vegetable oil, egg, and orange zest. Add pouch of dry brownie mix. Divide evenly into the 18 liners and bake for 24 - 27 minutes.
Allow to cool on wire rack and carefully remove paper liners.
Spread either chocolate frosting or ganache on tops of each brownie.
Before serving, add a dollop of frozen whipped topping (or homemade whipped cream) and several fresh berries. For adults, add another 2 tablespoons of wine to bottom of dish. Brownie will absorb the wine. Enjoy!
