Warm Apple Bacon Slaw

- 8 slices bacon (reserve 2 Tbsp. drippings)
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 green onion, finely chopped
- 4 cups cabbage, shredded
- 2 apples, cut into match sticks
In a large skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Reserve 2 Tbsp. of drippings. Chop or crumble the bacon.
In the same skillet with reserved drippings, add sugar, vinegar, water, and salt. Heat to boiling, then reduce to low. Stir in onions, cabbage, and apples.
Simmer for 5 minutes or until heated through. Stir occasionally.
Place in serving dish and top with bacon crumbles. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
