light brown sugar

vanilla extract

semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°. Line an 8 x 8" baking dish with parchment paper.
In small bowl, melt butter and set aside to cool.
In medium bowl, mix together flour, corn starch, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In large bowl, combine brown sugar, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
Mix in dry ingredients.
Reserve 1/4 cup chocolate chips. Stir remaining chips into batter. Spread batter evenly into prepared dish, then top with reserved chips.
Bake for 34 - 38 minutes. Top should be golden brown.
Allow bars to cool completely so they have time to set up before cutting. Enjoy!
Notes
The semi-sweet chocolate chips can be substituted with any flavor chips, M&Ms, and/or add nuts.
