Banana Cream Delight
Looking for a dessert that’s cool, creamy, and packed with banana flavor? Say hello to Banana Cream Delight, a layered dessert that combines a buttery baked pecan crust, a smooth cream cheese layer, banana slices, rich banana cream pudding, and fluffy frozen whipped topping. It’s the perfect blend of crunchy and creamy, light and decadent—all in one pan.

Perfect for potlucks, holidays, summer cookouts, or an easy weeknight treat, this no-fuss dessert is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. And best of all, it’s simple to make with pantry-friendly ingredients.
Make it in a 9 x 9″ dish, or easily double the recipe into a 13 x 9″ baking dish.

Making Banana Cream Delight
Start by making the chewy, buttery pecan crust.
In a medium bowl mix together the flour, pecans, and melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of a greased 9 x 9″ baking dish, then bake in a preheated oven set on 350° for 15 min.
Ok, crust is done. Let it cool a bit, then place it in the fridge to get cold.
The crust might be my favorite part of this dessert because of how chewy and buttery it is. It also has the crunch from the pecans, so YUM!
Meanwhile, start the next layer.
The smooth and creamy cream cheese layer.
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually add the powdered sugar until blended, then stir in the whipped topping.
Dollop this mixture over the chilled crust, then gently spread it into an even layer. Then, place the dish back in the fridge to chill.
I love cream cheese. This slightly tangy, rich, and sweet creamy layer just might be my favorite.

Adding the “banana layer.”
Fresh banana slices everywhere! Make sure there’s enough to completely cover that cream cheese layer. Two large bananas should be enough, but if not, add more.
Oh, and a double layer of banana slices is fine. Five layers of sliced bananas much be a bit much, but trust me when I say you’re going to love the banana slices.
Then, mix the two boxes of banana cream pudding with the milk. Make sure it’s fully blended; smooth, and creamy, then pour it right over the bananas, then back in the fridge. The pudding needs about two hours to fully set up, so keep that in mind. You can add the last layer now, or add it right before you serve.
Now…thinking about it, the banana layer has to be my favorite layer. Who doesn’t love banana pudding with fresh, naturally sweet banana slices?

Lastly, the top layer of your Banana Cream Delight.
All that’s left to do is to spread the whipped topping in an even layer, then sprinkle the chopped pecans over the top.
If your dessert has already been chilled for two or more hours, then you can dive in. Otherwise, it’s best to let the dessert fully set up, which takes about two hours. Be patient, it’s worth it.
So, all in all, I think the last layer has to be my favorite, because it means I can finally eat it. If you try this dessert, please let me know which layer was your favorite.
