Making a No Bake Triple Chocolate Pie
Ok, we have a couple steps to make this pie, so let’s get to it. First, the crust.
Chocolate Pie Crust
You can either buy one, or make your own from scratch. No judgement from me, I’ve used both and will continue to do so.
If you want to make your own, however, just throw about 24 chocolate Oreos into your food processor and zap them until they’re crumbs. And when I say crumbs, the smaller the better; you don’t want any big chunks, because your crust won’t hold together.
Mix the cookie crumbs with the melted butter, then press that mixture into the pie plate, bottom and sides. Done, now place it in the fridge.
If, by any chance, your 9″ plate is on the smaller side, you can use 20 Oreos with 5 tablespoons butter. This recipe if for a larger, deeper pie plate.
Chocolate Cream Cheese Layer
Easy enough, just beat the cream cheese, sugar, and melted chocolate together and gently spread it over the crust.
When I say, “gently,” the best way is to dollop the mixture in several places over the crust, then spreading it. This way you’re not having to drag the mixture over the crust, which can cause the crust to break.

Chocolate Whipped Cream
Now, this is just yummy and everyone should have a chocolate whipped cream recipe. Now you do.
First, though, place the bowl and beaters in the freezer for about 15 minutes. Having the bowl and beaters cold helps the whipped cream to get those peaks.
Then, add the cream, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder to the bowl and start on LOW speed to get mixture going. Increase to HIGH speed until stiff peaks form. Done, and place in the fridge for now.
Chocolate Pie Filling
By now you’re probably wondering why I didn’t call this a No Bake Quadruple Chocolate Pie. Because it sounds weird, that’s why. “Triple Chocolate” just sounds better, but we’ll all know.
Anyway, whisk together the pudding mix with the milk until smooth and creamy. Then, fold in 1 cup of the Chocolate Whipped Cream. Spread this over the pie, then back into the fridge for 20 minutes, which allows the pudding to set up.
Last step, spread the rest of the whipped cream over the top, then decide if you want to decorate or keep it simple and elegant.
If you’re feeling festive, by all means decorate. I like to pipe a little whipped topping around the edges, then grate a chocolate bar directly over the pie. Done and done.
Or, you can add some Mini Oreos and/or drizzle some hot fudge, ganache, or chocolate syrup over each slice as you’re serving.
Can there ever really be too much chocolate? I didn’t think so.

Tips for the Best No Bake Triple Chocolate Pie
- Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor, especially in the melted chocolate layer.
- Make sure each layer is cool and set before adding the next for clean slices.
- Want a shortcut? Use pre-made Oreo crust and store-bought whipped topping!
Storage & Make-Ahead
This pie stores beautifully in the fridge for up to 4 daysโperfect for making ahead of time. Simply cover loosely with plastic wrap and keep chilled until ready to serve.
