Brandy Lemonade Slushies

Brandy Lemonade Slushies are a sweet, refreshing adult drink that’s just plain delicious. Lemonade with under-tones of orange juice and a simple syrup are a perfect compliment to the brandy. Serve with ice cubes, an ice cream scoop (or 2) of slushy, some lemon/lime soda, and a twist of lime.

Brandy Lemonade Slushies

Brandy Lemonade Slushies are easy to keep on hand, because they live in the freezer. Super easy to make, and very handy.

Perfect for those guests who drop in and you want to enjoy a chilled drink together.

A scoop of slush in a glass with lemon/lime soda and a lime wedge.

Making Brandy Lemonade Slushies

First, make your simple syrup of boiling water and sugar.

Stir until the sugar dissolves, then remove from stove.

Next, pour simple syrup into a sealable container (that holds 7 cups total) and add a cup of cold water.

Allow this mixture to cool.

Next, stir in the lemonade and orange juice concentrates, plus the brandy.

The brandy doesn’t have to be the expensive stuff; a cheap bottle does just fine.

At this point, you’re done making your Brandy Lemonade Slushies, but you still have to hurry up and wait while it freezes.

Let it freeze for about 8 hours, or overnight is best.

It won’t completely freeze, because booze doesn’t freeze, but it comes close.

This is why you should let it sit out on the counter for about 15 – 20 minutes before you want to serve it.

Those 20 minutes give it enough time to thaw so you don’t have to fight with it when you scoop out some slushy.

A glass with a scoop of slush, a mixer, and a wedge of lime.

Tips and After Thoughts

This recipe can easily be doubled, but I recommend storing it in 2 – 3 separate containers. That way they’ll thaw faster when you want to serve.

You can also use lime frozen concentrate instead of the lemonade, both are delish.

Brandy Lemonade Slushies are best served with a straw to stir the slushy with the Sprite.

Instead of using Sprite as your mixer, you can also use tea, or other lemon/lime soda, such as 7-Up.

While this recipe has the perfect amounts of brandy vs. lemonade, there are those out there that like a wee bit more brandy. Adults only!

This can be remedied 2 different ways: 1) add more brandy to the slushy before freezing, or 2) splash a little extra brandy into the glass.

You can also freeze in ice cube trays, then drop a few into a glass without having to thaw first. Yes!
