Making Cinnamon Honey Butter
Whip the Butter: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter on MEDIUM speed until smooth and creamy.
I used salted butter, because the honey and powdered sugar add a lot of sweetness, and the salt balances that. If you prefer your butter extra sweet, then use unsalted butter.
Add the Sweetness: Reduce speed to LOW, then add the honey, powdered sugar, and ground cinnamon to the bowl. I like to warn people to reduce the speed before adding powdered sugar to the mix, so it doesn’t end up all over your kitchen.
Whip It Good: Increase the mixer to HIGH speed and whip until the mixture is light, fluffy, and well combined. This step gives it that whipped, spreadable texture that melts beautifully on warm breads.
Additionally, this butter pipes beautifully when it’s still room temperature. For instance, in the pictures shown here, I had just made the butter, so it’s still room temperature. I refrigerated it when I was done using it, which makes piping more difficult. This is because the butter hardens up again, thus making it difficult to push through the tip.

How to Serve Cinnamon Honey Butter
First, like any butter, take it out of the refrigerator to warm a bit, thus making it more spreadable.
This butter is incredibly versatile. Here are some favorite ways to enjoy it:
- Slathered on Pumpkin Spice Cornbread (a fall favorite!).
- Spread on warm biscuits or toast.
- Dolloped onto pancakes or waffles.
- Melted over roasted sweet potatoes. Yummy!
- As a unique and sweet addition to a charcuterie board.

How to Store It
Store your Cinnamon Honey Butter in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Then, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving for easy spreading.
Looking for a thoughtful DIY gift? Spoon it into a cute jar, add a ribbon, and pair it with a homemade loaf of cornbread or fresh rolls!
LOVE ME SOME BUTTER!
I love butter recipes, because they usually only take minutes to make, but they’re so delicious with added flavors. My first butter recipe was Apple Spice Butter, which is scrumptious! It’s very similar to this recipe, but with a slightly different flavor profile.
Next, I made Cinnamon Pear Butter, that is super delicious on a hot muffin.
Cheddar Cheese Butter is my go-to for dinner rolls and biscuits.
Then I made Sweet Basil Garlic Butter — a delicious spread thatโs perfect over cooked vegetables, fish, or a grilled steak. With just a few ingredients, (and about 20 minutes), turn ordinary butter into something amazing.
