Slow Cooker Mozzarella Chicken
Imagine, if you will, tender, fall-apart chicken smothered in melted mozzarella cheese. The chicken is slow cooked in a delicious, perfectly seasoned chicken broth and marinara sauce blend. That’s the love you get from this Slow Cooker Mozzarella Chicken recipe. Delicious.

Give me a crock pot, or give me death. Well…ok, let’s maybe not take it that far, but I do love mine.
Nothing cooks chicken like a crock pot. It stays moist and tender, and because it’s marinating in the sauce while it cooks, the flavors are cooked through.
Let’s get started.

Making Slow Cooker Mozzarella Chicken
Season both sides of the chicken breasts with the salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then, place them in the crock pot.
Next, in a 2-cup measuring cup, measure and mix together the chicken broth, marinara, and Italian seasoning. Pour this delicious concoction over the chicken.
Put the cover on, set the timer on LOW for 6 hours, then go outside and play, or whatever it is you do.
Then, thirty minutes before serving, add the Parmesan and mozzarella cheese over the top of the chicken.
Put the cover back on and continue cooking for the remaining 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
I can hardly wait for you to try this…so good!
To fancy it up some, sprinkle some fresh, chopped basil over the top, then serve.

Serving suggestions
This Mozzarella Chicken is fantastic over your favorite pasta, which is quick and easy to make.
Have a side salad and some Parmesan Garlic Toast to complete the meal.
You can also serve it over rice, quinoa, mashed potatoes, or have it plain.
If you’re eating Keto, have it plain and make sure your marinara is low-sugar.
Leftovers re-heat well and are delicious , especially when that marinara sauce meets the refrigerator. I call that Fridge Magic; it makes all the flavors blend together so beautifully.
